Ph.D. Programs of Study

The department offers graduate degrees in the following majors:

Biomedical Engineering (BME or Joint)
Biomedical Engineering with Peking University (PKU)
Bioengineering (BIOE)
Bioinformatics (BINF)
Computational Science & Engineering (CSE)
Robotics (ROBO)

Students are considered for and admitted to doctoral level programs. Master’s degrees are offered only under special circumstances when a student is unable to complete the doctoral program such as in the case of a student who does not pass the Qualifying Exam. Both MS and PhD candidates are required to complete theses/dissertations.
